Getting a Visa 办理签证

W: Are you a visa officer ?  你是签证官吗？

V: Yes , Please take a seat . You want to go to New York,right ?是的，请坐，你想去纽约，是吗？

W: Yes , My uncle is living there ,He would like to transfer ownership of his property to me . I’d be very grateful if   

   you would let me go there to handle all the legal formalities.

   是的，我叔叔住在那儿。他打算把财产所有权转让给我。如果您能让我去那里办理所有的法律手续，我  

    将不胜感激。

V: OK , What kinds of contagious diseases have you suffered from ?好的，你以前得过什么传染病吗？

W: None .什么病也没有得过。

V: When are you planning to depart ?你什么时候动身呢？

W: Some time around the middle  or end of next month .下个月中旬或月底吧。

V: OK , We’ll complete the formalities for your entry visa of your trip to New York as soon as possible . We’ll let    

you know once it comes much . 

好的，我们会尽快办完你去纽约的入境签证手续。 一旦办完，我们就通知你。

W: Thank you very much 太谢谢了

V: You are welcome . 不客气。

Going through Customs 海关通关

O: Are these your bags ,sir ?这些是你的包吗，先生？

W: Yes , that’s right. 是的，没错。

O: Have you anything to declare? 你有什么东西要申报的吗？

W:  No , I’ve only go some clothes and things like that. 没有，我只带了些衣服之类的东西。

O: What’s the purpose of your visit ?你到这里来干什么？

W: I’m here on business . 来这儿出差。

O: I see ,Would you mind opening this one ?我知道了， 您介意把这个打开看看吗?

W: Not at all .完全不介意。

O: What’s inside the package ?这个包裹里面是什么东西？

W: Present for some of my friends ,They’re glass vases and so on . 

    是给我朋友的一些礼物。玻璃花瓶之类的东西。

O: Got any cigarettes ? Spirits ?带烟了吗？酒呢？

W: I’ve got 200 cigarettes ,but I haven’t got any spirits . 带了200支烟，但没有带酒。

O: Would you mind showing me your camera ,please ,sir ? 

   你介意把你的摄像机借给我看看吗？

W: Not at all . 一点儿也不介意。

O: I see ..... Right , That’s all .Thank you .我看一下...... 好了，没事了。谢谢。
